Personally, I fondly remember the day I bought these stones in person from the miners, not far from where they came out of the earth. I remember the conversation about the gemstone dealer being a new mom (I wasn't one yet) and how they enjoy being able to bring they're daughter along with them to shows.

Artfully, I love the symbolism of the raw gemstone in a refined and hand forged setting. The raw gem is like the raw and untamed creative energy each of us have (yes, even the people that say "oh I'm not creative" and break my heart when I hear it.) It's a wearable reminder of the inner beauty each of us has the the potential within us.

Geologically, I love that the pyrite inclusions are visible and you can see the natural shapes of the turquoise and pyrite (the gunmetal looking spots in the turquoise.)
