Pakimer Chain Earrings
The Story
Wild crystal, polished silver.
The Pakimer Chain Earrings feature a pair of naturally formed Pakimer quartz crystals from Pakistan—beautifully clear, wonderfully included, and shaped entirely by the way the quartz grew. These stones haven’t been faceted into those little points; that sparkling, almost cut-gem appearance is their natural crystal form.
Pakimers are sometimes described as the Pakistani cousins of Herkimer Diamonds: both are quartz crystals prized for their natural facets and often double-terminated forms, but true Herkimer Diamonds come specifically from the Herkimer region of New York.
I especially love these for their inclusions. Rather than perfectly clear crystals, there are tiny worlds happening inside each one—evidence of the conditions in which the quartz grew.
I paired them with long drops of diamond-cut sterling silver paperclip chain, giving all that rough, ancient-looking crystal a clean modern line. They move beautifully, catch the light from every direction, and come in just under two inches long.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
To clean your Mettle by Abby pieces, simply use a soft toothbrush in warm, mild soapy water. This will help remove dirt and oil from the gemstones and make them shine again, as well as keep the silver and gold looking bright and clean.
To polish silver Mettle by Abby pieces, simply buff with a silver polishing cloth. If you really want to give it a shining, you can use a silver polishing cream and then rinse it with water when done.
