Sunstone & Sterling Silver Ring 

Description

At first, this sunstone has this beautiful, almost quiet glow—clear and warm, with fine lines running across the stone. And then the light hits it.

Suddenly those lines ignite into streaks of electric rainbow color. It looks like a meteor shower caught mid-flight.

The oval sunstone is bezel set in sterling silver, a setting I don't use often, which gives this ring a clean, substantial feel while still letting the stone do all the weird, wonderful stuff it does. The silver beneath the stone reflects light back through it, creating an almost moonstone-like glow from within.

Finished with my signature Metal by Abby Facet Hammer band, it's incredibly comfortable on the hand and substantial enough to wear alone, while still playing nicely in a stack.

The Story

This one is all about what happens when you catch the light at the right moment.

Most of the time, you can see the delicate lines suspended inside the stone. They're beautiful on their own—soft, linear, almost atmospheric.

Then you move your hand.

And whoosh.

Those quiet little lines become streaks of electric rainbow light shooting across the stone like a meteor shower.

It's one of those pieces that rewards looking twice.
