Lightcatcher Earrings

I still can't believe I'm only just now putting these online.

For years, earrings like these have been some of my best sellers in person. I make them. People buy them. I make more. People buy those too.

Somehow, despite all that, I never got around to listing them on my website.

The story behind the name goes back years.

I had a friend I worked with at the jewelry store, and I made her a necklace using this exact same hammered texture. (Even made using the same hammer!)

She wore it home because it absolutely had to be hers.

Her mom saw it and immediately said,

"What did you do? You bought a diamond necklace?"

She was genuinely concerned her daughter had spent a bunch of money she shouldn't have.

But it wasn't diamonds.

It was sterling silver.

The texture simply catches that much light.

The Lightcatcher Earrings use that same technique. Hundreds of tiny reflective surfaces are created by hand with my favorite hammer (which used to be my grandfather's hammer), allowing these earrings to sparkle from every angle. Because they move as you wear them, they catch even more light.

They're also absurdly lightweight. At just 1.2 grams per pair, they're the kind of earrings you put on in the morning and forget you're wearing until someone compliments them.
