Chrysocolla Petal Earrings

These natural chrysocolla gemstones glow with an electric blue so vivid it almost seems impossible. Set against their rich chocolate-brown matrix, the color feels like tropical water meeting rugged desert stone—a striking contrast that nature somehow perfected.

Each elongated oval chrysocolla is set in my signature Petal Setting, a hand-forged sterling silver design inspired by the graceful curves of flower petals. The open setting allows the gemstones to remain the focal point while adding lightness and elegant movement.

Suspended from sterling silver ear wires, these earrings measure approximately two inches in length, creating a statement that's both bold and effortlessly wearable.

The Story

I love gemstones that don't look real.

Not because they're flashy, but because they make you question what you're seeing.

The blue in these chrysocollas is one of those colors. It's so intensely saturated that it almost looks painted on, yet every bit of it formed naturally over thousands—sometimes millions—of years as copper-rich minerals transformed deep within the earth.

When I found these two stones, I couldn't stop staring at them. Their color was simply too extraordinary to leave behind.

I designed my Petal Setting to cradle them without distracting from what makes them so special. Sometimes the best jewelry design is knowing when to let the gemstone tell the story.
