Black Star Ring

There’s something architectural about this one.

The faceting on this black spinel is what stopped me in my tracks — sharp and directional, but softened by that slightly rounded square shape so it doesn’t feel too severe. The star-like pattern across the surface catches light in a way that makes the stone feel almost carved rather than simply cut, with burnished edges that pull your eye inward and make every facet hit harder.

The contrast here is what really makes it sing: deep, inky black spinel set in a rich 14k yellow gold bezel, balanced by a sterling silver band. It’s bold, clean, a little moody, and incredibly easy to wear.

This one feels like armor in the best possible way.

To polish silver Mettle by Abby pieces, simply buff with a silver polishing cloth. If you really want to give it a shining, you can use a silver polishing cream and then rinse it with water when done.
