I hand-set this stunning Australian opal in solid 14K yellow gold, and I can’t stop staring at it. The stone is a round 8mm opal — bright, lively, and full of flashes of blue and green (and just a hint of other colors dancing in the light). There’s something undeniably special about Australian opals — their color play is richer, deeper, and more alive than any other kind
The design is my own take on an antique stick pin, made fully by hand with a soft nod to the past. It’s delicate but striking — simple enough to wear every day, yet captivating enough to turn heads. Every detail, from the 4-prong setting to the fine 18” yellow gold cable chain, glows with warmth.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
To clean your Mettle by Abby pieces, simply use a soft toothbrush in warm, mild soapy water. This will help remove dirt and oil from the gemstones and make them shine again, as well as keep the silver and gold looking bright and clean.
To polish silver Mettle by Abby pieces, simply buff with a silver polishing cloth. If you really want to give it a shining, you can use a silver polishing cream and then rinse it with water when done.
